Ikechukwu is back on the scene with 3 new singles off his new album: The Alliance, we heard a little from him on “kiss your hand” on Wande Coal’s album Mushin 2 Mo’Hits but this is the first solo record from Ikechukwu since he moved from Storm Records to Mo’Hits records, and off course he needs little or no introduction DonJazzy as usual comes hard on the records and shows he can diversify himself with the record “All on me” which has a hip-hop and rap vibe to it, I would rate the record a 6/10, its the kind of record you can bump to with your boys.
“Critical” is a confirmed club banger and it features D’banj on a verse and on the chorus, this is the best record of the 3 singles and I would rate it a 8.5/10, A majority of the rating is attributed to the beat and Ikechukwu delivers 2 decent verses and D’banj also pulls the record along with the nice chorus.
“Now its the time” is another record with a traditional and Igbo vibe to it very reminiscent of “Igwe” by D’Banj, DonJazzy is on the chorus on this one, a very good jam too I’ll rate it a 7.5/10.
